Crypto Winter School

An annual, invite-only research school that brings together India's cryptographic research community for intensive collaborative work. Each year, a different institute hosts the school — creating a traveling forum where seasoned researchers and emerging scholars collaborate across all sub-areas of cryptology.

Founded in 2025 at IIT Bhilai, the school runs in a Dagstuhl Seminar style format: mornings feature invited lectures from eminent cryptographers, afternoons are reserved for focused group discussions and collaborative research. Every participant is deliberately placed into small groups built around shared topics, mixing experienced researchers with budding students — designed for depth, not attendance.
